History:
The first megalithic burial consists of a
menhir–pit–stone circle bounded by twelve unworked granite boulders, one of
which bears a cupmark. The grave is covered by three large, dressed capstones
arranged on an east–west axis in an anthropomorphic layout. These capstones
contain grinding grooves, indicating an earlier Chalcolithic presence that used
the nearby granite outcrop for tool production.
The burial pit is a north–south oriented, rectangular
shaft measuring approximately 3 × 1.5 m and 1.8 m deep. Stratigraphic layers
include humus, loose red morrum with microliths, compact morrum, and underlying
granite bedrock. At a depth of about 140 cm, iron objects—such as a lance,
dagger, arrowheads, tongs, a sickle, a trowel—and a terracotta ring were
recovered, along with redware, black-and-redware, and blackware ceramics. Two
broken redware pots containing skeletal remains were found at the base of the
pit, one supported by three stones. The upper portion of the pit was filled
with alluvial clay.
